About Us

How this Ministry Started

The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington.

Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This was an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Cliffe has been reaching out to university students in this way for 20 years,
and has a desire to reach more people though television ministry. The "Give
Me An Answer" television ministry began in 1991 and hopes to reach as many
people as possible for Christ.

What We Do

Give Me An Answer Ministry sponsors events where individuals seeking to know more about God have an opportunty to ask open, honest and even difficult questions and to receive prompt, direct, honest and accurate replies to those questions. We also make recordings of these events available to wide audiences, using books, newsletters, radio, television and the internet as tools to deliver recordings of these question and answer sessions. We do this with the objective of providing honest answers about Christianity to as many people as possible.

Statement of Faith and Purpose

The purpose of this not-for-profit ministry "Give me an Answer" is to introduce people to Jesus Christ and to teach them to follow Jesus as Lord of every area of their lives.

1. We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

2. We believe Jesus Christ is totally trustworthy. Jesus is God who revealed Himself in human form. He died on a cross for the sins of the world. He rose from the dead to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. He ascended to heaven. He will return one day. There will be a judgement of each person. Those who put their faith in Jesus will receive new bodies to spend eternity in heaven. Those who have rejected Jesus will experience eternal punishment in hell.

3. We believe the Bible to be completely reliable, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
